Mayor Guinta, other dignitaries to cut ribbon of renovated Bakersville School

MANCHESTER (Sept. 20, 2007) – Mayor Frank Guinta, along with city staff and other elected officials, will be on hand to participate in the ribbon cutting of the renovated Bakersville School. The event will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 25, at Bakersville School, 20 Elm St., Manchester.


According to Manchester Parks, Recreation and Cemeteries, the renovations at the school include:

  • Rehabilitation of the school grounds
  • New playground
  • Resurfacing of the basketball courts
  • Additional parking

In addition to Mayor Guinta, the following people are scheduled to attend the event:

  • Members of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen
  • City Clerk Leo Bernier
  • Welfare Commissioner Paul Martineau
  • Parks, Recreation and Cemeteries staff
  • Manchester School Department officials
  • Members of the Board of School Committee
