Maryland Senator Barbara Mikulski and Members of the Kennedy Family to Speak to New Hampshire Women

MANCHESTER, NH – Prominent women supporters of Hillary Clinton will be meeting with New Hampshire voters tomorrow to talk about why Hillary is the best candidate for president.

Maryland Senator Barbara Mikulski, Lieutenant Governor Kathleen Kennedy Townsend and human rights activist Kerry Kennedy will hold several events with undecided women voters in Nashua, Manchester, and Keene.

Senator Mikulski, Lt. Gov. Kennedy Townsend, and Kerry Kennedy will speak about Hillary’s work a s a lawyer, advocate, First Lady, and senator, fighting for issues important to women here at home and around the world for decades. They will make the case that in these serious times when America faces big challenges, it will take a leader with the strength and experience to deliver real change. They also will discuss Senator Clinton’s plans to rebuild the middle class, curb the influence of special interests, and restore this country to greatness.

As the Dean of Women Senators, Mikulski serves as a mentor to other women Senators when they first take office and builds coalitions across party lines to advance legislation supporting women's issues. Elected to the Senate in 1986, Mikulski previously served 10 years a Congresswoman from the Baltimore area.

Kathleen Kennedy Townsend was the first woman elected to the office of Lieutenant Governor in the state of Maryland, serving from 1995 to 2003. Kerry Kennedy is an advocate for the vindication of fair and equal justice, the protection of basic human rights, and the rule of law worldwide. They are the children of the late United States Attorney General and presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy.

Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley Hits the Campaign Trail for Hillary in New Hampshire This Weekend

MANCHESTER, NH - The New Hampshire for Hillary campaign today announced that Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley will head to New Hampshire January 4th-5th to talk to undecided young voters about why Hillary's strength, experience and bold policy plans for our country make her the right choice to be president. He will be making several stops in Portsmouth and Manchester, including a stop at the Wild Rover Pub.

O'Malley was elected Governor in 2006 after two successful terms as mayor of Baltimore. He gained national prominence for his role in improving education and test scores and lowering the city's violent crime rate by 40 percent while attracting $10 billion in new investment to revitalize Baltimore's economy. His CitiStat initiative to target the city's spending and track results received Harvard's prestigious Innovations in American Government Award in 2004, and has helped save residents more than $350 million. From 2003 to 2006, O'Malley chaired the U.S. Conference of Mayors Task Force on Homeland Security.

Governor O'Malley endorsed Senator Clinton in May and was named Chair of Hillary's Maryland campaign.
