Pittsfield -United States Senator John Sununu today, received the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) Award for Manufacturing Legislative Excellence. The National Association of Manufacturers is the nation's largest industrial trade association, representing small and large manufacturers in every industrial sector and in all 50 states.
"I am honored to receive the Manufacturing Legislative Excellence Award from the National Association of Manufacturers and look forward to working with its members to continue fighting for the issues that are important to our nation's economy," said Senator John Sununu. "In the Senate, I have worked to create a pro-growth, pro-manufacturing environment by cosponsoring and passing legislation for renewable energy tax credits, advocating for small businesses to band together to purchase health care and led the effort to pass the internet access tax ban."
The National Association of Manufacturers recognized Senator Sununu for his leadership in advancing the effort to maintain the United States leadership in the global economy, reduce excessive production costs, develop a 21st century workforce, revitalize our nation's infrastructure and promote innovation, investment and productivity.
