WASHINGTON – The New Hampshire State Society (NHSS) today announced it will host its Annual Meeting and Reception in celebration of the 2009 Presidential Inauguration in January. The reception will be held from5 to7 p.m. on January 19, 2008 in the Pierce Room at the Willard InterContinental Hotel in Washington, D.C.
The New Hampshire State Society is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization that serves as a focal point of activity for persons with a New Hampshire background in the Washington, D.C. metro area.
“This is a truly historic occasion and a terrific opportunity for Granite Staters living in or visiting Washington, D.C. to come together to celebrate the Presidential Inauguration,” said Michael McBride, President of the New Hampshire State Society.
Sponsorships are also available for the reception. The proceeds will go to support the New Hampshire State Society’s Educational Opportunity Fund, which provides stipends to New Hampshire students that have obtained internships in the D.C. area.
Admittance to the event is free for members of the NHSS. Torenewyour membership, or to become a member of the NHSS, the annual dues are $25 and can be paid at the door.An RSVP is required.
