NH DOC - New Probation/Parole Chiefs Picked for Two Offices

(Concord, NH) New Hampshire Department of Corrections, Division of Field Services Director Michael McAlister announced that two veteran Probation/Parole Officers had been selected as Chiefs for two District Offices.

Jason Smith was appointed Chief of the Merrimack County District Office of the Division of Field Services in Concord and Raymond Holland will be the new Chief of the Grafton County District Office in North Haverhill.

Officer Smith was hired by the Department in February 1997. He began as a Probation/Parole Case Technician and became a Probation/Parole Officer in June 2000 with his most recent assignment in Concord. He will oversee an office with eleven employees and an average offender caseload of approximately 1,300.

Officer Holland began working for the Department as a Prison Corrections Officer in April 1998. He became a Probation/Parole Officer in March 1999 with his most recent assignment in North Haverhill. He will manage an office with seven employees and an average offender caseload of approximately 1,100.

Both Chiefs will begin their new duties on February 29, 2008.
