DOVER, N.H.- City and town Democratic Committees in Strafford County will hold caucuses in March to elect party officers and to select at-large delegates to the May 17 Democratic Party state convention.
Local caucuses take place every two years and are open to every registered Democratic voter in each community. The first towns and city to caucus will be Rollinsford and Milton on Sunday, March 2, followed by Rochester and Durham on Tuesday, March 4. As additional caucus dates are set, information will be posted on the Strafford County Democratic Committee Web site, www.straffordcountydemocrats.org, and the New Hampshire Democratic Party Web site, www.nhdp.org.
“Strafford County saw a great turn out in the Democratic primary in January,” Strafford County Democratic chair Joan Ashwell said. “We welcome all Democrats to participate in their town caucuses and take an active role in this year’s campaign. Politics is not a spectators sport.”
