Strafford County Democratic Caucuses Continue Next Week


DOVER, N.H.- City and town Democratic Committees around Strafford County are holding caucuses this month to elect party officers and to select at-large delegates to the May 17 Democratic Party state convention.

Democrats in Dover and Farmington will caucus next week:

Thursday, March 20, 7:00 p.m.
Old Town Hall, 527 Main St., Farmington

Saturday, March 22, 10:00 a.m.
McConnell Center, Rm. 2, 61 Locust St., Dover

“Strafford County Democrats were energized by the first-in-the-nation presidential primary, and we’ve had tremendous interest in the caucuses held around the county this month,” said Strafford County Democratic chair Joan Ashwell. “More than 26,500 county voters participated in the primary. Now, we’re united and ready to work non-stop to keep New Hampshire in the Democratic column this fall.”

Local caucuses take place every two years and are open to every registered Democratic voter in each community. Democrats in Rochester, Somersworth, Durham, Barrington, Strafford, Rollinsford, Milton and Madbury caucused earlier this month.
