GMFRW - Hon. Chuck Douglas to Discuss Education Funding

Manchester, NH: The Greater Manchester Federated Republican Women (GMFRW) is pleased to announce that former Congressman and state Supreme Court justice Chuck Douglas will be the keynote speaker at our April speaker series meeting on Monday, April 7th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Carisbrooke Place function room located at 180 Woodbury Avenue in Manchester, NH.

Attorney Douglas will be reviewing the perennial issue of education funding. As an expert on the topic, the former state Supreme Court justice will be reviewing the status of a Constitutional Amendment for education funding.

Attorney Chuck Douglas was appointed to the New Hampshire Supreme Court in 1977 at the age of 34, where he served until 1985 before resigning to work in private practice in Concord, NH. Hon. Douglas was elected Congressman in New Hampshire's second Congressional district in 1989 and 1990. Additionally, Hon. Douglas served 23 years in the National Guard, retiring as a full Colonel from the New Hampshire National Guard in 1991.

The Greater Manchester Federated Republican Women fosters the education and involvement of women in the political and public service process, including providing opportunities to become a candidate, greater access to meeting with local and high level candidates, and helping on political campaigns. It is one of several such groups across New Hampshire, and part of a state and national Federation.
