Sullivan nominates Mike DiBlasi to School Board

(MANCHESTER)- Ward 3 Alderman Peter Sullivan announced today that he will nominate Mike DeBlasi to the vacant seat on the Manchester Board of School Committee.

"Mike DiBlasi is the kind of energetic and civic minded leader that we need in Manchester, and he is going to be a real asset on the school board", said Sullivan. "Mike's record of service to the community show that he will be able to bring people together to tackle the challenges facing our public schools in a cooperative and responsible way".

Mike DeBlasi is a graduate of Manchester Central High School and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at Villanova University. He has served as a volunteer with Big Brother/Big Sister and as a baseball coach with the Manchester Babe Ruth League. In 2003, he was selected as one of the New Hampshire Union Leader's "40 Under 40".

DeBlasi is the director of communications for Hillcrest Management LLC, a Milford private equity firm, and The Finlay Foundation, which focuses on philanthropic endeavors supporting education, children in need, and the arts. Before joining Hillcrest, DeBlasi worked in television as a news anchor, sports reporter, talk show host, and political reporter.
