Strafford County Democrats Choose Local Leaders as Local Caucuses Continue

DOVER, N.H.- City and town Democratic Committees around Strafford County are holding caucuses this month to elect party officers and to select at-large delegates to the May 17 Democratic Party state convention.

     Democrats in Strafford, Barrington and Somersworth will caucus next week:

Tuesday, March 11, 7:00 p.m.
Hill Library, Rtes. 126 & 202A, Strafford Center

Wednesday, March 12, 6:30 p.m.
Barrington Library, 39 Province Rd., Barrington

Thursday, March 13, 7:00 p.m.
City Hall, 1 Government Way, Somersworth

“Strafford County Democrats were energized by the first-in-the-nation presidential primary,” said Strafford County Democratic chair Joan Ashwell. “More than 26,500 county voters participated in the primary. Now, we’re united and ready to work non-stop to keep New Hampshire in the Democratic column this fall.”

Local caucuses take place every two years and are open to every registered Democratic voter in each community. Democrats in Rochester, Durham, Rollinsford, Milton and Madbury caucused earlier this month.
