Concord, NH - The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) announces the Second Annual Quality of Life Awards Ceremony. The goal of the awards is to foster and recognize quality of life initiatives and improvements in nursing home facilities. This year's winners are The Edgewood Centre in Portsmouth, Grafton County Nursing Home in North Haverhill, Mt. Carmel Rehab and Nursing Center in Manchester, and Havenwood-Heritage Heights in Concord. The keynote speaker is Steve Shields, President & CEO of Meadowlark Hills Retirement Community in Manhattan, Kansas. DHHS Commissioner Nicholas Toumpas will also speak at the event. Over 350 guests representing over 40 nursing homes from across the State will be in attendance.
