DHHS - Non-Supporting Mother Pleads Guilty to Charge of Criminal Non-Support

Concord, NH - The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Division of Child Support Services (DCSS) announces that on May 14, 2008, Samantha Bilodeau, age 37, appeared before Hillsborough County Superior Court-Northern District Judge William J. Groff where she pled guilty to one felony count of Criminal Non-Support for failing to pay court ordered child support. Bilodeau, from Manchester, owes $18,439.66 in back child support for her child.

Judge Groff sentenced Bilodeau to 2 to 4 years at the New Hampshire State Prison, with all but 208 days suspended for 5 years. Bilodeau received 208 days of pretrial confinement credit. Additional conditions of Bilodeau's sentence include: a Waiver of Extradition, and 5 years probation under the supervision of DCSS' Legal-Criminal Enforcement Unit.

Bilodeau's apprehension and prosecution is the result of the combined efforts of the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Department, the Office of the Hillsborough County Attorney, and DCSS.
