Manchester Mayor Frank Guinta to Hold Press Conference to Discuss Inter-City Bus Service in Manchester

MANCHESTER (July 14, 2008) – Manchester Mayor Frank Guinta, along with Manchester Economic Development Office director Jay Minkarah, Southern New Hampshire Services executive director David Preece, and a representative from the Manchester Transit Authority will be holding a press conference regarding inter-city bus service in Manchester .”

The press conference will be at 10:30 a.m., on Thursday, July 17, 2008, in the Aldermanic Chambers of City Hall; One City Hall Plaza, Manchester. In addition, the Board of Aldermen are invited to be a part of the press conference.

he press conference will inform the public about the status of inter-city bus service in Manchester in the wake of Concord Coach Line’s announcement that they will be moving their stop from Manchester to Londonderry . It will also lay out the timeline for upcoming meetings regarding transportation issues in the region as well as dispel rumors that currently exist.

“As this process unfolds, it is important that all of the stakeholders involved in transportation issues are on the same page. I understand the importance of inter-city bus service in Manchester, as do others here this morning. It is my goal to make sure that we continue this communication moving forward.”
