Washington, DC – Join members of the New England delegation as they announce a major legislative push to increase funding for home heating assistance. Although it may be hot outside, the delegation is already thinking about the strain skyrocketing home heating oil costs will place on constituents in New England and across the country. They have heard from middle class families who will need to decide between heating their homes, putting food on the table and taking their medication once winter hits.
The delegation will send a letter to Speaker Pelosi asking for her help in mitigating this impending disaster by increasing funding for home heating assistance in the next economic recovery package the House takes up.
