Washington, DC - With the Democratic National Convention set to kick off in Denver today, the Democratic National Committee released a new web video called "Totally in Agreement" that highlights McCain's promise of more of the same failed Bush policies. The video features McCain in his own words bragging about voting with President Bush more than 90 percent of the time and being "totally in agreement and support of President Bush" on what he calls the transcendent issues of the day.

"As Democrats are coming together this week in Denver to bring the change America's working families need and deserve, John McCain is bragging about his support for President Bush's failed and flawed policies and his promise of more of the same," said DNC spokesman Damien LaVera. "The last thing the American people can afford is another Republican who voted with President Bush more than 90 percent of the time and thinks the fundamentals of our economy are strong. Only someone who can't keep track of how many houses he owns would look back at the last eight years and say we need four more."

MCCAIN: "The President and I agree on most issues. There was a recent study that showed I voted with the President over 90 percent of the time, higher than a lot of my even Republican colleagues." [Fox News Channel, 5/22/03]
MCCAIN: "The fact is that I have agreed with President Bush far more than I have disagreed, and on the transcendent issues, the most important issues of our day, I have been totally in agreement and support of President Bush." [Meet the Press, 6/19/05]
