NH GOP - Denver: Democrats Want Your Wallet For Their "Change."

Dear Fellow Republican:

Last night the party of the interest groups came together in Denver to eat soy burgers and other strictly approved healthy meals and present to America their agenda of change. While the word change was beaten into my head, I failed to hear what they are changing.

All I heard was spend! Spend the taxpayers’ hard earned dollars. Spend America to an even larger Federal government. Spend America into higher fuel costs.

Of course it wouldn’t be a night at the Democratic National Convention if they didn’t talk about how evil us Republicans are. How we don’t believe in change.

HELP US MAKE SURE THAT WE PUT A MAN WHO PUTS HIS COUNTRY FIRST INTO THE WHITE HOUSE!

Then Speaker Nancy Pelosi took the stage. Her San Francisco liberal roots were in full bloom as she talked about the steps the Democrats have made in Congress, but failed to mention where that progress was.

Nancy Pelosi’s Congress sure isn’t solving our energy problems or doing anything productive to deal with our stuttering economy. She surely didn’t talk about how earmark reform was never part of the Pelosi agenda.

What grabbed my attention and has for a couple weeks are the rumblings of a large portion of the Democratic base, those who haven’t been swept away by the pageantry and oratory shows of “change we can believe in.”

These Democrats look at Barack Obama and see Jimmy Carter. These Democrats see the same dangerous inexperience and lack of judgment that we Republicans see. These Democrats understand that words will not keep America safe, it will take leadership, confidence and action.

This week we are seeing what will happen to America if we do not stand up and fight, and if we don’t raise the resources needed to make sure John McCain and the Republican ticket win.
