Kingston, NH – Former Governor and Republican Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee announced today his endorsement of former state Senator Russell Prescott for the Executive Council District 3 seat.
"Russell ran for the State Senate in 2000 because he was concerned that New Hampshire was heading in the direction of an income tax. He is running today for Executive Council because he sees the same "tax and spend" philosophy overtaking the legislature and Executive Council. Russell believes that the Executive Council is the last line of defense against overspending and once again wants to fight to protect New Hampshire values of fiscal conservatism and limited government," said Huckabee.
"I am honored to have Governor Huckabee's endorsement. During his Presidential campaign he often talked about fiscal conservatism and limited government and these are the same New Hampshire values I have always fought to protect and will do again on the Executive Council," said Prescott.
