DOVER – Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter will be the featured speaker at the Strafford County Democratic Committee’s annual picnic this Saturday, Sept. 6 from 12 noon to 4:00 p.m. at the home of Salme and Ken Perry, 380 Rollins Rd. in Rollinsford.
The Strafford County Democratic picnic is traditionally a highlight of the political season on the Seacoast. Elected officials, candidates and Democrats of all ages mix and mingle as they enjoy traditional picnic fare, musical entertainment, fun, games and swimming. A certified lifeguard will
be on duty.
In addition to Congresswoman Shea-Porter, Speaker of the House Terri Norelli and New Hampshire Democratic Party chair Raymond Buckley are scheduled to speak. The county’s Senate and House candidates will be on hand, and picnic-goers can expect other leading Democratic candidates to drop by during the event.
“The Democratic Party is united behind a great group of candidates this year, said Strafford County Democratic chair Caitlin Daniuk of Rollinsford. “We look forward to working together to bring real change to Washington and continue our progress here in New Hampshire.”
New Hampshire is all about grass roots politics,” Daniuk said, “and our picnic is a great opportunity for candidates and people interested in politics to meet one another and learn and talk about campaigns and issues in a family-friendly social setting.”
Tickets will be available at the picnic and are $12.50 for individuals. Family tickets are $25. For more information or to reserve tickets, contact Caitlin Daniuk at (603) 842-4028 or email@example.com
