The Democratic Senatorial CampaignCommittee released a new television ad today exposing John Sununu’s votesto protect billions of dollars in profits for big insurance companies whilecutting Medicare for 200,000 seniors, veterans and disabled in New Hampshire. Three times in a month Sununu voted with President Bush against a bill thatwould have prevented steep cuts for Medicare, even when doctors andpatients’ groups urged him not to.
“John Sununu had a chance to sidewith seniors, veterans and the disabled, but instead he stood with George Bushand the big insurance companies who have poured hundreds of thousands ofdollars into his campaign,” DSCC spokesman Matthew Miller said. “New Hampshire deserves aSenator who will fightfor the middle class, not the special interests.”
