The Conservative Caucus's 35th anniversary celebration 10/28

Dear Conservative Friend,

Did you receive the invitation I sent you recently to attend The Conservative Caucus's 35th Anniversary party?

Because we're getting closer to this important event, I thought I'd send you a quick follow-up note.

On Wednesday, October 28, The Conservative Caucus (TCC) will celebrate its 35th Anniversary.  As a staunch supporter of TCC and a longtime friend of Founder and President Howard Phillips, I'll be there along with some members of my staff and many well-known conservative leaders.

Would you please join us?

The Conservative Caucus's 35th anniversary celebration will begin at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, October 28, at the Hyatt Rosslyn Hotel in Arlington, Virginia.

If you're interested in attending, simply visit, or call Joyce or Janet in Howard's office at 703-281-6782.

Even if you can't attend, please send a donation to help TCC further our conservative goals. (How about a gift of $35 - one dollar for every year TCC has been "fighting the good fight"?)

You'll be pleased to know the keynote speaker and Honorary Chairman for TCC's 35th anniversary celebration will be U.S. Rep. Ron Paul of Texas, who has known Howard for almost as long as I have.

As we conservatives battle to keep our nation from falling into a socialist abyss, this is a perfect time to honor the accomplishments of a stalwart conservative leader and group dedicated to fighting that very un-American development. No doubt President Obama and his fellow travelers will be a lively topic of discussion.

Even before he formed The Conservative Caucus, Howard had been fighting for conservative principles - losing some battles, winning others - for almost five decades now.

During the Nixon Administration, Howard Phillips served as Director of the U.S. Office of Economic Opportunity.  But Howard resigned on principle when President Nixon reneged on his commitment to veto further funding for Lyndon Johnson's "Great Society" programs.

Howard never looked back.

Instead, he founded an organization dedicated to defending the Constitution and the true intent of our Founding Fathers.  Over the years Howard Phillips and The Conservative Caucus have:

Warned that the Republican Party was an empty vessel run by an untrustworthy establishment elite.

Exposed the unconstitutional funding of left-wing groups and helped lead the fight to defund the Left.

Explained the dangers of shifting the primary mission of America's Armed Forces away from homeland defense and toward nation- building and pre-emptive war.

Fought the giveaway of the Panama Canal by President Carter.

Testified before Congress that David Souter would be a terrible Supreme Court Justice (and of course, he was. )

Helped stop HillaryCare in 1993-94, even though the political "experts" said it couldn't be done.

And led many, many other battles to protect the blessings of liberty as set forth in the Constitution.

Win or lose, Howard has made a significant difference over the years.

And you can help TCC continue to make a difference today as it wages a vigorous grassroots campaign against ObamaCare, amnesty for illegal aliens, endless government borrowing, and the disintegration of our traditional Western values and principles.

As we fight to prevent the current socialist regime in Washington from destroying our nation, Howard is playing a key role in that as well.

So please join me at the Arlington Rosslyn Hyatt on October 28 as we conservatives come together to celebrate the life of a true lion of our movement and the principled organization he founded 35 years ago.
