- The Tennessee General Assembly has issued a call to action to all states in the union in an attempt to preserve the power afforded to them by the 10th Amendment of the Constitution. In a letter sent to other state legislatures shortly after the Tennessee governor signed a Sovereignty Resolution, Rep. Susan Lynn asked other states to join Tennessee in joint working group in order to enumerate and repel advances by the federal government on states' rights.

"Governments and political leaders are best held accountable to the will of the people when government is local," writes Lynn. "The people of a state know what is best for them; authorities, potentially thousands of miles away, governing their lives is opposed to the very notion of freedom."
