Cornerstone Hands Out Recognitions at Annual Awards Dinner
Bedford, NH - Last evening at Cornerstone's Annual Dinner and Awards Banquet at CR Sparks, several individuals, including Mont Vernon Representative Bill O'Brien, were recognized in front of over 250 people who attended the dinner.
Representative O'Brien was honored with the annual William Wilberforce Award, which is given each year to a New Hampshire statesman who embodies the spirit and leadership qualities of the British parliamentarian (Wilberforce) who is most noted for having led the abolitionist movement in England in the 19th century. Representative O'Brien was given the award for displaying exemplary leadership qualities on the House Judiciary Committee and for the vital role he played in the gay marriage debate.
Also honored last night were three members of the community, Sue Ann Johnson of Litchfield, Rachael Robinson of New Boston, and Brenda Votdatch of Meredith. Each were honored with the Steward of the Family Award for their commitment to the preservation and strengthening of families within their communities and in New Hampshire.
