New Hampshire Union Leader: John DiStaso's Granite Status: Hodes raises big money

THURSDAY AFTERNOON UPDATES:
MORE THAN A HALF-MILLION RAISED. Democratic Rep. Paul Hodes’ campaign this afternoon announced it raised “nearly $600,000” in the third quarter, “bringing his yearly total to nearly $1.6 million raised."
The campaign said it has "over $1.1 million on hand.”The campaign, which did not provide a precise figure, said, “This is the largest amount any non-incumbent candidate for U.S. Senate in New Hampshire has ever raised at this point in the election cycle.
In statement, campaign manager Valerie Martin said, “We are proud of the outpouring of support our campaign has received. We are confident that we will have the resources we need to let Granite Staters know that Paul Hodes will be an effective, independent voice for the people of New Hampshire in the US Senate.”
Last night, the Granite Status broke the news on UnionLeader.com that Republican former Attorney General Kelly Ayotte will report raising about $613,000 in the third quarter with $561,000 on hand.
