Howard Dean Wants Senate Health Care Bill Killed:  The former Governor and DNC Chairman wants the Senate Health Care Bill scrapped.

Time for an Intervention:  It's gut-check time, America. The United States Government is hopelessly addicted to spending, and it's time we, the people, staged an intervention. If the citizens of this nation don't rise up and do something about it, the spendaholics in Washington will continue to spiral out of control and drag every last one of us down with them.

Purge the Moderates:  A member of the Republican National Committee has proposed a ten-point purity test, of which future candidates will have to pass at least eight to qualify for national backing. Broadly worded ("We support victory in Iraq and Afghanistan by supporting military-recommended troop surges.") and covering a wide range of public policy, the test will be considered when the RNC meets early next year.

Only 40% Support Health Care Plan:  Fifty-six percent (56%) of U.S. voters now oppose the health care plan proposed by President Obama and congressional Democrats. That's the highest level of opposition found – reached three times before – in six months of polling.
