Concord, NH – The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is joining forces with the Manchester Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC) for a historic meeting on Friday, February 20, 2009 at the New Hampshire Veterans Home in Tilton. The conference titled “Coming Together” is an important opportunity for the two organizations to work on ways to better serve New Hampshire veterans. Major General Kenneth Clark, NH Adjutant General and Colonel Deborah Carter of the New Hampshire National Guard, are two of the featured presenters at the daylong event. They will be joined by DHHS Associate Commissioner Nancy Rollins and VAMC’s Director Dr Marc Levenson. The conference will target four issues facing New Hampshire veterans: homelessness, employment, mental health and community programs. The goal is to identify solutions to address these issues. The conference begins at 8:30 AM at the Veterans Home in Tilton.
