Shea-Porter Applauds Obama Plan for Electronic Medical Records for Service Members

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Shea-Porter released the following statement in response to President Obama’s announcement on veterans' health care.

“As a former military spouse and member of the House Armed Services Committee, I am committed to ensuring our service members and veterans receive quality, accessible health care. The creation of a Joint Virtual Lifetime Electronic record will provide our current and former service members with one accurate, paperless medical record. This system will help reduce costs, improve care, and eliminate medical errors. I am committed to working with President Obama to ensure that New Hampshire service members and veterans have the health care they need and deserve.”
