One day before hundreds of Tea Parties are to take place, conservative and libertarian activists have been labeled as a threat by the Department of Homeland Security.


Tax Day is Tomorrow: This video from Cato look at the problems with the American tax system.


Presto: Another $750 Dollars: The U.S. and Europe were widely expected to clash at the G-20 summit in London last month over how to address the global financial crisis. Voila, in just two days the problem was solved with a joint promise to increase International Monetary Fund resources by $750 billion to a total of $1 trillion.


Want to Prevent Piracy? Privatize the Ocean: Following the freeing of American ship captain Richard Phillips from a band of Somali pirates Sunday, commentators have turned their attention to what can be done to control and prevent future piracy. The solutions suggested so far are what you might expect: Hit the Somali pirates at home with overwhelming force; reestablish “law and order” in Somalia so that pirates can't flourish; and, closely-related, focus on state building in Somalia so citizens have lucrative employments other than piracy to turn to.
