MANCHESTER, NH− U.S. Representative Paul Hodes and U.S. Representative Carol Shea-Porter will be honored for their support of the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) Reauthorization at an event on Friday, April 17th at 11:00 am at Beech Street Elementary School.
State leaders, health care advocates and children from New Hampshire’s successful CHIP program - NH Healthy Kids - will highlight the program’s impact on expanding health care to New Hampshire’s children.
For more than a decade, NH Healthy Kids has made sure the children of New Hampshire have access to the care they need. In the current economic environment, the mission of NH Healthy Kids is more important than ever. The federal reauthorization of CHIP provides New Hampshire with funding and opportunities to maintain and expand coverage for low-income children across the state. State leaders, health care advocates and NH children and families look forward to celebrating this important milestone and honoring U.S. Representative Paul Hodes and U.S. Representative Carol Shea-Porter for their leadership on behalf of the children of NH.
