Dear ConservativeHQ.com Subscriber,
Below is an urgent message from the Coalition to Salute America's Heroes. The Coalition provides emergency financial aid to our severely wounded troops from Iraq and Afghanistan and their families in crisis, and they have some important information to share with you.
I know you support our severely wounded troops in your city and around the nation.
So I'm hoping you'll take a moment to do something special this Mother's Day for some very special women: the mothers of these disabled heroes.
By clicking here you can send a THANK YOU and GET WELL card to show a disabled GI and his or her Mom you recognize the sacrifice both of them have made as a result of his service in Iraq or Afghanistan.
You will also be able to make a tax-deductible donation to help a disabled serviceman or woman take his or her mother out to dinner on Mother's Day.
I'm Major General John K. Singlaub, U.S. Army (Ret.). I commanded troops during three wars, and today I'm writing you on behalf of the Coalition to Salute America's Heroes, a nonprofit organization that helps GIs severely wounded in Iraq or Afghanistan.
Thanks to patriotic Americans like you the Coalition has responded with emergency financial aid to more than 11,000 requests from troops and their families in crisis, providing them with more than $22 million.
As Mother's Day nears I'm inviting you to participate in the Coalition's "Give Mom a Break Meal Project" by clicking here and making a tax-deducitible donation.
Your gift of $60 can help provide a gift card to enable a severely wounded GI to take his or her mother out to a restaurant on Mother's Day - just like they could before they were injured.
Your donation of $120 can help TWO disabled GIs take their mothers out to dinner; your gift of $180 can help THREE wounded troops, and so on. And of course gifts of smaller amounts can be combined to provide a $60 gift card.
The Coalition's "Give Mom a Break Meal Project" was created to recognize the sacrifices being made by the mothers in your state and around the USA who care for our disabled GIs, day in and day out.
Many of these women - like Cynthia Lefevre, whose photo appears above - have sacrificed careers and family obligations to nurse their wounded sons or daughters.
Cynthia's son Rory was nearly killed when a roadside bomb shattered his skull from ear to ear. She immediately flew 3,000 miles across the country leaving her job and her husband to be at her son's side for an entire year while he battled to recover from his devastating injuries.
As a patriotic American, I'm sure you agree Cynthia Lefevre deserves a break this Mother's Day.
By clicking here to send a THANK YOU and GET WELL card you can show a devoted mother like Cynthia Lefevre she has your patriotic support.
And by making a tax-deductible donation you'll be helping a wounded war hero like Rory Dunn - who fights everyday just to pay his own bills - take his mother out to dinner to show her how much he appreciates the sacrifices she has made since his injury.
For months or even years, women like Cynthia have been suffering right alongside their sons or daughters who have been paralyzed or brain-damaged by a sniper's bullet, or lost their arms or legs to a roadside bomb. And Mother's Day is the perfect time to recognize the painful sacrifices they've made.
And many mothers of disabled GIs who were working to support their family have lost their jobs during the recession.
Now they're forced to watch helplessly as their family finances spin out of control. As a result they will spend Mother's Day juggling bills and bandaging the wounds of their children.
The good news is you can give an overwhelmed Mom a huge emotional lift by making sure she gets treated to a restaurant dinner on Mother's Day. And the warm feeling she'll get inside from knowing her fellow Americans understand and recognize the sacrifice she's made could last a lifetime.

America's severely wounded troops and the mothers who care for them every day have suffered a lot for this country. Most say they'd do it again.
Providing them with a free restaurant meal is a great way to say "Thank You" and let them know their fellow Americans care about the sacrifices they've made.
Thank you and may God bless you this Mother's Day.
