GMFRW - Women's Group to Hold BBQ Social Featuring Manchester GOP Chair

The Greater Manchester Federated Republican Women (GMFRW) is pleased to announce our club social and BBQ to be held on Monday, June 22 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at 54 Walnut Street in Manchester. MRC Chair Will Infantine will speak briefly about what the City Committee activities, including candidate recruitment for the upcoming municipal elections.

In addition, we will be presenting updated details regarding our club’s first-ever hike-a-thon, dubbed “Peak Performance” – a hike-a-thon to raise awareness for teens and children impacted by foster care and adoption in New Hampshire – which is targeted to occur on Sunday, August 16, 2009. Final details are actively being locked in, including the participation of a well established, qualified non-profit that will enable donor contributions to be tax-deductible and distributed for use for teens and children in care. We have several participants already committed to participating in the hike, including former U.S. Congressman and current NH Senator Jeb Bradley, retired Executive Director of NH Housing Finance Authority and former Chair of the Goffstown-Weare GOP Claira Monier, event co-founder Katherine Prudhomme-O’Brien, and Alan Cail and a few of his co-workers.

Both events are open to members and non-members of the GMFRW, a group of men and women dedicated to encouraging the involvement of women in the political process, including encouraging their education and involvement in public office, grass-roots activism, and participation on political campaigns.

The BBQ is $5.00 per person donation and includes dinner. Other donations will be accepted, and checks can be made payable to the GMFRW. The event is being held at the corner of Lowell and Walnut Streets, at the PBVM Ukrainian Catholic Church using the Walnut Street entrance, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. To RSVP, please contact Kathy Cusson-Cail at
