CPR-Action - Reacts to House and Senate Passing Budget

Calls on Governor to Veto the Budget

Concord - Commenting on the House and Senate passing the new state budget today, CPR-Action Director, Kevin Smith, said the following:

"It is unfortunate that the House and Senate did not listen to the families in our state who said loud and clear that they've had it with run-awaystate spending. Raising taxes and fees while overstating revenue estimates, as they did two years ago, issimplyirresponsible. We call on Governor Lynch as the chief executive of this state to exercise some leadership, veto this budget and send it back to the legislature for more work.
