Shea-Porter Announces More Than $8 Million for Affordable Housing Programs

WASHINGTON D.C. – Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter today announced that the State of New Hampshire will receive $8,269,787 to resume funding of affordable rental housing projects. This grant is provided through the Tax Credit Assistance Program (TCAP) of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, made possible by the passage of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

“This grant will allow people to keep a stable roof over their heads and it creates construction jobs,” said Congresswoman Shea-Porter. “It further illustrates the progress of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.”
