It doesn't take a seasoned politician to have a tremendous impact on reforming government. Individual citizens concerned with their government can have a big impact at the local level by simply getting involved. "Testifying at council meetings is an easy way to make a huge difference in your community," says Rebekah Ries of the nonprofit Concerned Women for America. "Since city councils deal with day-to-day issues in a city's operations, their actions often directly affect citizens to a greater extent than the actions of the state or national government."
