LAMONTAGNE GOES AFTER AYOTTE’S DC HANDLERS
Ovide Lamontagne, as a guest on Meet The New Press radio program, went after Kelly Ayotte’s handlers, saying "national Republican organizations should be focused on the General Election," and that he is not happy about their apparent endorsement of Ayotte but “bring it on.” In stark contrast to AWOL AYOTTE, Lamontagne outlined his positions on Sotomayor, Economic Recovery Act, cap and trade, and health care.

WMUR’S SUNDAY SHOW: WHERE IS KELLY AYOTTE?
WMUR’S Close Up Host political reporter Sean McDonald led a discussion of Ayotte’s candidacy by remarking Ayotte has “disappeared.... she is not doing a lot of talking... where is she these days... we don’t know where this candidate stands, we don’t know what her issues are.” NH Political Reporter James Pindell says the “advice from a number of people in Washington was fundamentally incorrect” for New Hampshire. New Hampshire pundit Jennifer Donahue reviewed New Hampshire’s history of rejected favored candidates from Washington political organizations including the 2006 Democratic house race.
NH POLITICAL REPORT: AYOTTE OPPONENTS DEFINING HER MORE THAN SHE IS DEFINING HERSELF
Kelly Ayotte: This potential U.S. Senate candidate has emerged from the rock she was under (or the flight from DC). We have heard from Republicans this week that she is finally talking and making the rounds. She is even beginning to put together a campaign and catch her breath. But the Union Leader editorial was a shot across the brow defining this race as Washington vs New Hampshire and making Washington leaders backtrack. She gets a down arrow this week because it was another week where her opponents are beginning to get more steam in defining her than she is defining herself.
NH CONSERVATIVES:“Maybe Ayotte should see if she can borrow the Popemobile to help keep her better insulated from the people?”
