Prescott Park Arts Festival Presents Second KIDS Festivals this Saturday.

PORTSMOUTH, NH - Prescott Park Arts Festival is preparing its second KIDS Festivals this Saturday, August 22, at 11:00 am as part of the FairPoint Communications MainStage. Held in Prescott Park, the KIDS Festival is part of the arts festival's summer long season filled with music concerts, festivals, kids events, musical theatre, and dance offered to the public at no fixed admission. The KIDS Festival will feature Wayne from Maine who has been performing and recording music for children for over a decade. Audience participation is always encouraged as volunteers are invited on stage to play various instruments or sing.

Julie & Brownie first teamed after a chance meeting in the summer of 1991 and have delighted family audiences for more than a decade. Their award winning mix of fun-filled songs and important educational messages for children has earned critical praise and launched them on tours throughout the eastern United States and Canada.

Tricky Dick's Magic Show involves great magic for the whole family; kids and adults will leave saying, "WOW, how did he do THAT?". Performing since 1986, Tricky Dick's Magic Show has performed through New England. In 1998, Dick was elected into the International Brotherhood of Magicians and the Society of American Magicians.

"The KIDS Festivals are an important part of our programming," says Prescott Park Arts Festival executive director Ben Anderson, "It involves not just entertainment for children, but also education, in a fun manner. It's a great place to spend the morning and afternoon with your kids."

The season also includes the presentation of Grease that will conclude for the season on Sunday, August 23.

Since 1996, the Arts Festival has consistently been named by Yankee magazine as a "must see" tourist attraction. Prescott Park Arts Festival is an independent non-profit organization with a mission of serving the community with a diverse array of quality arts events accessible to all.
