DOVER – Elected officials, candidates and Democrats of all ages will mix and mingle as they enjoy traditional picnic fare, musical entertainment, fun, games and swimming at the Strafford County Democratic Committee’s annual picnic Sunday, Sept. 13 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the home of Salme and Ken Perry, 380 Rollins Rd. in Rollinsford. The Strafford County Democratic picnic is traditionally a highlight of the political season on the Seacoast.

“New Hampshire is all about grass roots politics,” Strafford County Democratic chair Caitlin Daniuk of Rollinsford said, “Our victories in 2008 were the result of hard work by hundreds of local activists who supported our candidates. This year’s picnic is a great opportunity to celebrate, catch up with friends and talk about the future in a family-friendly social setting.”

Many Democratic office holders and candidates are expected to attend the event. Visit the Strafford County Democratic Committee on the World Wide Web at for details as they become available.

Tickets will be available at the picnic and are $12.50 for individuals.

Family tickets are $25. For more information on how to get involved or to reserve tickets, contact Caitlin Daniuk at
