Shea-Porter Announces More Than $245,000 for Aging and Disability Resource Center
Saturday, September 26, 2009 at 08:37AM WASHINGTON, DC — Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter today announced that the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) at the University of New Hampshire will receive $245,801. ADRC empowers individuals to make informed choices. It also streamlines access to long term support, including in-home, community-based and institutional services and programs that are designed to help individuals with disabilities and chronic conditions. Funding will be used to develop a five-year operational plan for sustaining and strengthening the fully functioning ADRC model. This grant is provided by the Administration on Aging of the United States Department of Health and Human Services.
