Concord, NH – The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) announces the Third Annual Quality of Life Awards Ceremony. The goal of this celebration is to foster and recognize quality of life initiatives and improvements in nursing home facilities. This year’s winners are The Edgewood Center in Portsmouth, Glencliff Home for the Elderly in Glencliff, Hanover Hill Health Care Center in Manchester, and the Peabody Home in Franklin. The keynote speaker is Susan Misiorski, Director of Organizational Change Initiatives, PHI; she is a nationally recognized leader in long term care culture change. DHHS Commissioner Nicholas Toumpas will also speak at the event. Over the course of the three-year’s of this event more than 60% of New Hampshire’s nursing home facilities have applied for this distinction. For Tuesday’s celebration more than 270 guests representing over 25 nursing homes from across the State will be in attendance.
