Basic Labor Training

Applications will only be accepted through close of business on October 12th.  Please return full application and registration fee by tomorrow if you would like to join. You must complete Greivance 101 to particpate in Advanced Grievance.

Workshop 2: Grievance 101, Tuesday, October 26th from 5:00-7:30pm
This workshop will help you identify workplace issues and how to handle the critical first steps in the assessment of a workplace problem and the initial step in the grievance process. Cases can often be won or lost in these early stages.
Topics for discussion will include: Duty of Fair Representation, Local Structure for Processing Grievances, Grievance Representative, Types of Grievances, Checklist for Handling Grievances, Fact Sheets, Management Meetings.

Workshop 3: Advanced Grievance, Tuesday, February 8th from 5:00pm-7:30pm

 Registration forms and fees are due to the NH AFL-CIO office before the dates of each training. A refundable registration fee of $20.00 is required for each session. If you attend the session, your registration fee will be returned to you at that time. Failure to attend the session will result in the payment of the $20.00. Additional brochures can be downloaded from the NH AFL-CIO Website at www.nhaflcio.org and at www.aft-nh.org.
