Democrat Kuster’s Dismal Week with NH Veterans Continues
Concord, NH- The Bass for Congress campaign today called on Democratic opponent Annie Kuster to explain to voters why raising cash from Washington Democrats is more important than speaking with New Hampshire’s veterans. Although invited to speak to Second District voters alongside Charlie Bass at tonight’s Candidates Forum, hosted by Franklin VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Kuster has opted to skip the opportunity and attend a Democratic Fundraiser in Concord with US Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN).
“Since Kuster has already taken hundreds of thousands of dollars from national Democrats and extreme, progressive, activist groups in Washington, it’s no surprise that Annie would turn her back on New Hampshire veterans in Franklin to attend a fundraiser with Senator Klobucher. Voters, including New Hampshire veterans now understand very clearly where Kuster’s priorities are,” said Bass for Congress spokesman Scott Tranchemontagne.
“It’s been a rough week for Kuster with New Hampshire veterans,” Tranchemontagne continued. “First, she launched a deceitful ad against Charlie Bass, distorting his strong record on veterans’ issues. The ad’s claims were proven false when leaders from New Hampshire veterans’ organizations endorsed Charlie Bass’ campaign Thursday. Now, Kuster is unwilling to face New Hampshire’s veterans. She is probably unsure how to explain her support for ‘Obamacare’, which the VFW says ‘betrays’ veterans.”
“Annie Kuster once again has made it perfectly clear that her only agenda is to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Washington D.C. Democrats and support their out-of-control spending, jobless stimulus bills, and record deficits.”
