Dear Concerned Taxpayer,
There are many ways of cutting federal spending. The government cannot do everything. Choices must be made.
One easy choice that can be made right away is to stop funding National Public Radio (NPR). Even under the best of circumstances, taxpayers should NOT be paying for a government radio network.
There are a vast number of news and public affairs programs on radio stations throughout the nation. There is absolutely no justification for taxpayers' money being used to fund a "public" radio network. In these times of dangerous deficits and sky-high unemployment, scarce resources should be used for much more critical needs
Furthermore, it is clear NPR has no tolerance for viewpoints outside of its liberal dogmas.
As you may know, Juan Williams, a moderate liberal, has been fired as a commentator at NPR for telling Fox News Channel's Bill O'Reilly, "But when I get on a plane, I got to tell you, if I see people who are in Muslim garb and I think, you know, they are identifying themselves first and foremost as Muslims, I get worried. I get nervous."
This government censorship of ideas not in conformity with the ruling class elites is deplorable.
Please sign the petition on the ConservativeHQ.com website to stop taxpayers funding of NPR.
In order to obtain our goal of 1,000,000 names on the petition, please forward this e-mail message to many others. In this time just before the elections, this petition can get the attention of all senators and representatives.
Thanks for your leadership in this important matter.
