"Spider" John Boehner to Tea Party "flies:" Trust me. Come into my web.
RedState.com - Blogger Hogan expresses outrage at a report (from Roll Call) that indicated top House Republicans (Reps. John Boehner and Eric Cantor) are planning to blunt the ideological fervor of the newly elected conservative freshman class by stacking their offices with "veteran" Republican staff. Hogan sees nothing but trouble in such a move, reasoning that the last thing these incoming reformers need is to be controlled from the inside by people who've been in Washington for decades and are more like the problem than the solution.
Conservative Glen Urquhart drawing some headlines of his own in Delaware
Cape Gazette (DE) - With the storm of coverage surrounding GOP Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell in Delaware, it's sometimes hard to remember that there's an open House race in the state (to replace RINO Rep. Mike Castle) featuring a dedicated conservative (Glen Urquhart) who would be an asset to the House if elected. Click here to see Glen Urquhart's website.
Ronald Reagan was called an "extremist" too
The New Ledger - In a familiar sounding theme of leftwing and ruling class elites' attacks on today's Tea Party and constitutional conservative candidates, David Kopel chronicles how many did the same of Reagan, including California Governor Pat Brown who spoke in "gleeful anticipation of beating this politically inexperienced, right-wing extremist and aging actor in 1966." In fact, Reagan adopted his famous 11th Commandment ("Thou shalt not speak ill of any other Republican.") from the state Republican chairman, who was trying to quiet other Republicans who, too, were calling Reagan an extremist.
