NH DHHS Announces State Functional Needs Working Conference

Concord, NH – The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is announcing the 3rd State Functional Needs Conference to be held Wednesday October 6th. This year’s conference theme is Unity in Community. The free, daylong conference is being held at the Grappone Conference Center in Concord from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

This conference is an opportunity for attendees to learn strategies to engage individuals with functional needs in local emergency planning, response and recovery; and learn how adaptive devices can maximize accessibility during emergencies. FEMA Director of the Office of Disability Integration Coordination Marcie Roth will be part of a keynote panel discussion that addresses the challenges to emergency preparedness, response and recovery faced by individuals with functional needs during emergencies.
