Shea-Porter Endorsed by VFW PAC

NEW HAMPSHIRE – Carol Shea-Porter has been officially endorsed by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Political Action Committee (VFW PAC) for the second consecutive election.

“I am honored to receive this important endorsement from the VFW PAC,” said Congresswoman Shea-Porter.  “Serving our troops and veterans is a sacred trust, and is one of my highest priorities as a Member of Congress.”

Since being elected in 2006, Carol has constantly fought for New Hampshire veterans and military families.  Carol successfully passed legislation that will prevent cost increases in military retiree health insurance this year.  She also introduced the Veteran’s Health Equity Act, which mandates that veterans have access to a full-service VA Hospital, or equivalent care, in every state.  Thanks to Carol’s consistent pressure and advocacy, the Veterans Administration (VA) in New Hampshire has increased access to in-state care for New Hampshire veterans.  As a member of the Armed Services Committee, Carol has also championed initiatives to keep our troops safe overseas, including writing and pushing legislation through Congress to end the harmful use of toxic waste burn pits on military bases in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The VFW PAC has once again recognized Carol’s commitment to serving our veterans and her many accomplishments for them.  New Hampshire veterans trust Carol because they know she has a record of fighting on their behalf.
