(Manchester) The New Hampshire Department of Corrections reports that a minimum security inmate has walked away from the Calumet Transitional Housing Unit in Manchester. On November 21, 2010 at 7:15 p.m., Michael S. Curran, 22, of Nashua, was given permission to attend an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. He did not return at 10:15 p.m. as required and was placed on walkway status.
Inmate Curran is described as a white male, 5’ 8” tall, 165 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair.
He was sentenced in Hillsborough County Superior Court to 1 ½ - 5 years for two counts of theft by unauthorized taking. He also received a 1 ½ - 3 year sentence for fraudulent use of credit cards. He was admitted to the New Hampshire State Prison on January 6, 2010 and is eligible for parole on May 2, 2011. His maximum release date will be November 2, 2014.
