Also thanks Sen. Hassan for her service to the district
KINGSTON (November 3, 2010) – Russell Prescott, Sen.-elect for District 23, thanked the voters of the district for putting their trust in him to serve in the Legislature in 2011-12. He also thanked his supporters for their tireless efforts on behalf of the campaign.
“Our state has serious fiscal issues that will take conservative, common-sense solutions,” Prescott said. “I am humbled that the voters of District 23 chose me to represent them in the New Hampshire Senate. It is a responsibility that I take very seriously and not take for granted.
“I also want to thank my network of volunteers and supporters, who went above and beyond to make this victory possible. From the help I received from the top-of-the-ticket campaigns to the tireless work of state legislative candidates, we were a team that worked seamlessly. I also want to give special thanks to the University of New Hampshire College Republicans, which were an integral part of our ground game. I literally could not have won this race without them.”
Prescott also wanted to thank Sen. Maggie Hassan for her service for the past six years. “I have gotten to know Sen. Hassan during our races and appreciate her commitment to the people of our district,” Prescott said. “She is a good person, whom I have no doubt is dedicated to the welfare of our state, and wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors.”
Prescott is the co-owner and vice-president of R.E. Prescott in Exeter. The former state senator (2000-2004) and current senator-elect has owned his company for more than 25 years. The Kingston resident has been married for 28 years and is the father of five children.
