We are thankful for this time for we remember those Christmases when our military service required our husbands and fathers to serve in other countries and our family to be fractured. Being together is such a blessing! We are also reminded of those families who have given the ultimate sacrifice with vacancies in their family circle. And today we remember our fellow American sons and daughters who are serving and their families who are waiting for their return. We are praying for your safe return. To all who serve both in the military and in public service to make us a great state and nation, thank you.
Reflecting on this blessed season also reminds me of you and the special place you hold in my heart. Thank you for your friendship and support over the years.
As we gather to celebrate the birth of our Savior, and to share His love with family and friends, I hope that you and yours will share joy, peace and love as you build those special memories of the season.
May you and yours be blessed with a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year.
For our families,
The headlights signal the arrival of our families coming from far distances. The smell of cookies and cider fill the air for this joyful time of year. The warmth of the fireplace fills the rooms. The squeals of cousins, aunts and uncles, grandparents and grandchildren reconnecting with excitement permeates the once still air. It is Christmas!
