Sunday, February 28, 2010 at 10:38AM Washington, DC – Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter released the following statement after Governor Lynch declared a state of emergency due to the current power outages caused by storms in New Hampshire.
“This is one of the most severe storms New Hampshire residents have experienced in recent years, but in true New Hampshire tradition, people are helping each other. My office has been in touch with the Governor’s office, as well as FEMA, and I will continue to monitor this situation closely. Residents without power or heat should seek assistance by calling 211, and those seeking shelter should contact the NH Office of Emergency Planning at 603-271-2231.
