Sunacom.com - Senator Odell Writes About Gambling Proposals in Today's Column

The comments below, regarding expanded gambling proposals, are by NH State Senator Bob Odell from his column published March 21, 2010 on Sunacom.com.

"[One facility] could be up and running quickly and a determination could be made as to whether New Hampshire would benefit from additional casinos.

"Not having competitive bidding for licenses seems very non New Hampshire.

"... a sort of take it all or leave it situation. I suggest we wait for the Governor’s Commission on Gaming to issue its report on May 25 to see other options.
"

Senator Odell is Chairman of  the Ways and Means Committee, and member of the Energy, Environment and Economic Development Committee;  Finance Committee; Citizens Trade Policy Commission; State Park System Advisory Council; and Comprehensive Cancer Plan Oversight Board.
