Thousands of New Hampshire members will be mobilized around Kuster's grassroots campaign.
"Annie will be the people-powered candidate."
MARCH 23, 2010 -- The Progressive Change Campaign Committee (PCCC) is endorsing Ann McLane Kuster as one of its first House endorsements of 2010.
The PCCC is a grassroots organization formed last year to help elect progressives to Congress -- and advocate for progressive policy positions. It has over 400,000 members including 3,009 in New Hampshire and 1,502 in the Second Congressional District.
"Annie is a bold progressive who will stand up for New Hampshire families in a way that typical politicians would not," said Stephanie Taylor, PCCC co-founder. "In this campaign, Annie will be the people-powered candidate."
The PCCC will be mobilizing its thousands of New Hampshire members into Kuster's grassroots campaign operation -- knocking on doors, making phone calls, and getting out the vote. Congressional Quarterly recently reported on the PCCC's "Next Generation of Talent" initiative that replaces high-cost DC consultants with thousands of skilled progressives who want to lend their skills to good candidates. This people-powered apparatus will also be made available to the Kuster campaign.
PCCC's Taylor continued, "On economic issues like jobs, holding Wall Street accountable, and fighting for a public health insurance option, voters are crying out for leaders who will put regular people ahead of big corporations. Ann McLane Kuster's track record shows that she will be that leader."
